New stadium for Flying Squirrels could appear on November ballot

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - The question over where the Richmond Flying Squirrels will play could be headed to the ballot box this November.

Many baseball fans want the aging Diamond to be replaced, but not everyone can agree on where to build a new stadium. Possible sites include the Boulevard and Shockoe Bottom.

City Council President Charles Samuels wants to put the issue on the November ballot. If the council green lights the idea for a vote, it would still need to go through a court.
