FIRST PHOTO: Goodwin as Jackie O in Richmond movie shoot

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) -

The first photo of Ginnifer Goodwin in full costume and makeup as Jacqueline Kennedy is now out.

Goodwin is currently filming the docu-drama Killing Kennedy in Richmond, with castmate Rob Lowe. The docudrama is based on the best-selling book by Bill O'Reilly and Martin Dugard and will air on the National Geographic Channel in the fall to mark the 50th anniversary of former-President John F. Kennedy's death.

Goodwin has already been seen around town and tweeting about local restaurants. The new photo published by Yahoo TV shows her as a convincing Jackie O in 1960s attire. A photo released earlier this week showed Rob Lowe looking quite presidential as President Kennedy.

Crews were filming in Ginter Park this week at the Zacharias Ganey Health Institute, drawing the eye of North Side Richmond residents who will have the chance to rub elbows with the cast and crew for the next several weeks.

Killing Kennedy is a follow-up to Killing Lincoln, which was also shot in Richmond. The Kennedy movie will recount the period surrounding the former President's assassination and will air as a two-hour special in November.

Governor McDonnell's office says once filming is complete, the project will be eligible for film incentives from the state.

    Sunday, March 26 2017 11:45 AM EDT2017-03-26 15:45:01 GMT

Two people are being helped by the Red Cross, after a fire broke out at their Richmond home. Crews tell us the fire broke out in the 5500 block of Campbell Avenue around 10:55 this morning. When they got on scene, fire crews saw flames coming from the back of the home. They were able to get the fire under control in about 15 minutes. Officials say everyone got out safely, but the damage was so bad, that a man and woman living in the home have to find a new place to live.
