Panthers' Cutts earns PIFL Co-Defensive Player of the Week honors

Posted: Updated:
ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

In a game where the Panthers' defense dominated, WR/DB Antwontis Cutts was a star.

Cutts picked off two passes in Albany's 35-15 win over Columbus Saturday, and was named the PIFL Week 14 Co-Defensive Player of the Week.

Saturday's game was Cutts' first full-time duty at DB, and he didn't disappoint.

The Panthers' defense allowed Columbus to the second-lowest single-game point total in PIFL history.

Albany can lock up a playoff spot with a win over Lehigh Valley at home this weekend. The Panthers kick off against the Steelhawks at 7:30 Saturday at the Civic Center.
