The man convicted of killing UVA Lacrosse player Yeardley Love will be back in court in Richmond today. George Huguely asked for an appeal to get a new trial and back in April and a judge granted a hearing on two of the appeals five arguments. Now a three-judge panel will get the case. Huguely is currently serving a 23-year prison sentence for killing his ex girlfriend back in 20-10.
A Chesterfield soldier, killed in Afghanistan, will be laid to rest later this week. Specialist Kyle Stoeckli was killed in Afghanistan on June first when he was hit by an IED. His body came home from Dover Air Force Base Monday. The visitation will be at Bennett Funeral Home in Chesterfield on Wednesday, from two to four and six to eight. His funeral will be Thursday at Saint Gabriel's.
Plus, jury selection continues today in George Zimmerman's murder trial. Prosecutors are trying to find 10 objective jurors to hear the shooting of an unarmed teenager by a neighborhood watch volunteer that transfixed the nation.
