Update: Victims identified in deadly crash on I-95 in Richmond

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) -

State Police have identified the driver and passenger involved in a single vehicle fatal crash on Interstate 95 in Richmond.

Shortly after 3:00 p.m. Saturday police were called to I-95 northbound near the Boulevard, after the driver of a 2002 Acura RSX ran off the left side of the road, struck the jersey wall, and overturned landing on its roof. 

The driver 24 year old Amber Duduk of Maryland died at the scene. Duduk was not wearing a seat belt. 24 year old Brittany Lawrence, also from Maryland, was taken to VCU Medical Center with serious non-life threatening injuries.  

The center and right lanes of Interstate 95 northbound were closed for four and half hours.

The crash remains under investigation with the assistance of the Virginia State Police Accident Reconstruction Team.
