RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) -

Heating and air company Michael and Son Services is breathing new life into a historic building that's been vacant for years.

The company just broke ground on its planned renovations for the former A. H. Robins Co. and Wyeth building next to I-95 in North Richmond.

Michael and Son Services' Mike Flanagan showed us they have already remodeled the front offices, and cleaned out warehouses. The company plans to occupy about 25% of the building, and lease the rest to other businesses. Rexel, the company's electrical supplier, is one tenant that has already moved in.

A Michael and Son Services sign has been mounted on the side of the building next to the highway. But Flanagan says they plan to leave the Wyeth sign on the other side of the building for now as a tribute to the building's history.
