RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) -

Police are investigating a bizarre situation in South Richmond, where a man "dropped" into a crime. The suspect entered the RadioShack on Sheila Lane through the ceiling.

This is like something you'd see in a Hollywood blockbuster. Not only did this guy break into the store through the ceiling, but he ran out without stealing anything. Now, he could be facing criminal charges.

This is one suspect who sure knows how to make an entrance.

"We get a phone call that says somebody had broken into our store," recalled Sales Associate Jor'el Little. "We get to the store we see plaster all over the place."

It was 4:30 in the morning on Saturday May 11th. Little couldn't believe the scene.

"What," he exclaimed. "This is like some "Ocean's 11" type stuff going on. It's like weird."

Little doesn't even need to see the footage to describe the break-in. This bizarre entrance is burned into his memory.

"Pretty much you can see it all just crashing down, then you see him peeking down to the ground," he explained. "Then I guess he has the courage and just drops down. He swings on this thing for a couple seconds."

Little says the alarm would've sounded as soon as the tiles crumpled.

"This is RadioShack so we should have some type of technology going on always, guess he wasn't too smart," he joked.

Richmond Police Detective Harry Brown is hopeful the burglar's distinctive sweater might catch someone's eye and help them identify the Spiderman-wannabe.

"We're not even sure if he was trying to get into the RadioShack," he told us. "There's a clothing store right next to the RadioShack. There's a Colortyme. There's a cleaners, maybe he was trying to get his dry cleaning. We don't know. We just really want to speak to him."

While the suspect did not steal anything, he did enter the building illegally. Detective Brown says police want to know why and they'll build the case from there.

If you recognize the burglar, call Crime Stoppers at 780-1000.
