New information is surfacing on the Henrico FBI agent killed in a training accident.
The New York Times is reporting that Christopher Lorek was directly involved in the rescue of the 5-year-old boy held hostage in an underground bunker for days in Alabama.
Back in February, agent Lorek was part of the team that entered the bunker and killed the man holding the child hostage.
As far as how they died, Lorek and the other agent killed in a training accident fell at least 75 feet into the water after repelling from a helicopter. Senior FBI officials tell the NYT that the agents likely died of blunt trauma.
