RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) -

Richmond Police are looking for witnesses who saw a spectator throw a liquor bottle that hit the lead singer of a reggae band at Saturday night's Riverrock concert.

Police arrested William C. Lewis, 19, minutes after Frederick "Toots" Hibbert was struck on the head by the glass vodka bottle. Lewis was charged with aggravated assault and public intoxication.

The lead sing of Toots and the Maytals was taken to VCU Medical Center, where he received stitches for the gash in his head, according to Venture Richmond. He was released early Sunday.

The liquor bottle may have been stolen from a vendor, according to Venture Richmond officials. An inventory check showed a vodka bottle was missing.

Police want help finding anyone who saw the bottle thrown or who saw Lewis Saturday night. If you can help with the investigation call Crime Stoppers at (804) 780-1000.
