Richmond leaders could increase parking meter rates

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) -

Some Richmond city leaders want to increase its parking meter rates.

According to the Richmond Times-Dispatch, the city council's finance committee recently endorsed a plan to increase hourly parking rates from 50 to 75 cents.

The rest of council is scheduled to vote on the plan on May 28.
