A Henrico woman is sitting in jail accused of extorting a hundred thousand dollars from a man she met online for sex.
Authorities say it was back in December 2012 when a Hanover man responded to an ad on Backpage.com. According to court documents he paid the woman $200 for oral sex, but she wanted more.
According to documents filed recently the victim knew 33-year-old Tonya Farnsworth as Tiffany.
In those court records, the unidentified man says Farnsworth claimed their sexual encounter had been photographed and if he didn't pay her, she was going to exploit him.
She allegedly claimed he stole money from her home during the initial encounter and through text messages instructed him to bring money to her home and leave it in a black Lincoln Navigator parked in the front yard of the house.
Next door neighbor Scotty Parham says that SUV has always been out there.
"Really it's been sitting out there since they moved here, about a year," said Parham.
The affidavit continues to say the alleged victim went over to Farnsworth's Henrico home on West End Drive 5 to 7 days a week from January to March of this year to leave money in that SUV.
And he claims all that cash added up to about a hundred thousand dollars.
This wasn't the first time Farnsworth got into trouble, the affidavit also states she was arrested in January for prostitution using the same website, Backpage.com
Hanover investigators say she used multiple aliases including Purington or Quevillion.
Authorities also got a hold of her cell phone that she's been texting from - one of the messages to the Hanover man reads "no clue how you couldn't notice the big ...camera on my dresser. The world can see you at your prettiest."
Police say Farnsworth has been on the run, but they finally found her in Tampa, Florida and brought her back to Hanover to be charged.
The investigation is still ongoing. Farnsworth will be back in court late August.
