The Redskins training camp is $800,000 over budget and the city may not pay.
City leaders could put the breaks on part of the project tonight. The park was supposed to open after training gets underway July 25th.
Now, the training camp and park will open at the same time and that's why more money is needed. The Richmond City Council says no one asked them if it was ok to tack on an extra $800,000. The current price tag is already $10 million.
The Richmond Economic Development Authority is in charge of the construction, but City Council members could say the Authority doesn't have the power to add on more money without asking for it.
