The water in the James River is at its peak, three feet above flood stage, so Richmond officials are warning people to use caution around the area.
Teams had to rescue a fifth person late Thursday night, and there could be more rescues this weekend.
The rescue happened at 7:05 p.m. with a person clinging to a log by the Hollywood Rapids. He made it out alright.
Looking forward to this weekend, we're going to have a warm Saturday and a beautiful Sunday, which should be tempting for people to go kayaking or lie out on the rocks.
The fire department is saying don't risk it, just keep your distance.
You might see some paddlers out this weekend, but they most likely have high water permits. That means they have the skills to handle flood stage water.
This flood warning will last until early Saturday morning.
