Hanover teen charged for injuring two classmates in crash

MECHANICSVILLE, VA (WWBT) -

A Hanover teen is facing charges after hitting two pedestrians with her car Wednesday.

Two 16-year-old students, both girls, were leaving Lee-Davis High School Wednesday afternoon and crossing the street in front of the high school when they were both hit by a car. The driver of the car is also a 16-year-old girl.

The students suffered minor injuries to their arms and legs. They were taken to VCU Medical Center.

The teen is facing one count of failure to yield to a pedestrian.
