RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - The Washington Redskins will hit Richmond for their inaugural training camp on July 25, the team announced Monday.
The 17-day camp will be free and open to the public. Two practice sessions are scheduled for each day through August 16, with players and coaches available after practice for pictures and autographs.
A special Fan Appreciation Day will be held on August 3 at the new $10 million training center located next to the Science Museum of Virginia. Redskins merchandise, interactive tents and other features will also be on-site.
In the team's former training home in Ashburn, attendance topped 100,000 fans annually, with 25,000 at the Fan Appreciation Day, the team says.
