We are approaching the time of year where people are going to get on the road and sometimes that can lead to trouble.
In this weeks Neighborhood Health Watch Dr. Edwin Robinson is preparing his patients for traveler's diarrhea.
People can get this illness in areas of the world where the drinking water is not clean.
Good hygiene is the key to avoiding it. It is important to also avoid uncooked foods, non-pasteurized foods or drinks such as milk. Use bottled water only for drinking and cooking.
Even if you don't treat traveler's diarrhea it will usually go away in 4-5 days.
