NEW YORK, NY (WALB) -

Day 3 of the NFL Draft was kind to a couple of area football players.

Donalsonville's Bacarri Rambo is packing his bags for the nation's capital.

The Georgia safety was taken by the Washington Redskins in the 6th round with the 191st overall pick.

Rambo was one of eight UGA defenders taken in this year's draft.

Valdosta State guard Edmund Kugbila is heading to Carolina.

The Division II All-American was drafted by the Panthers in the 4th round with the 108th overall pick.

Kugbila's fellow offensive lineman Ryan Schraeder signed with the Atlanta Falcons as an undrafted free agent.
