The decision was based on the failure to exclude a juror whose impartiality came into question and on Huguely's contention that he was denied a right to counsel when one of his lawyers became ill during the murder trial last summer, the newspaper reported.

Huguely was found guilty of second-degree murder and sentenced to 23 years in prison for the 2010 murder of Love.
