Darton's offense stalls, fall to MGC

ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

The Darton State Cavaliers moved up to 9th in the latest NJCAA polls, the highest ranking ever for the baseball program.

Besides that, the Cavs were just five wins away from the GCAA regular season title.

It would seem Darton State's bats would be juiced up ready to move closer to clinching.

That wasn't the case Thursday as Middle Georgia College thumped the Cavs 11-1 at Cavalier Field.

The Warriors put up big innings throughout the game.

MCG scored four in the second, two in the fourth, and four in the sixth.

The Cavs' offense just couldn't get it going either, thanks to MCG's Tyler Graham.

Graham earned the win, striking out six over six innings and only giving up one run.

The same two teams play a doubleheader Saturday, beginning at 1 p.m.
