FRANKSTON, TX (KLTV) -

Three people have now been charged in a drug bust that lead East Texas authorities to large amounts of K-2.

Tuesday night, authorities in Anderson County arrested Phillip Chang and Que Truong, the owners of a Frankston gas station. Those two individuals are charged with possession of illegal drugs. Michael Andrew Lee was also arrested on the misdemeanor charge of possession of drug paraphernalia. The Frankston mayor says authorities were finally able to make arrests after years of investigating.

Tuesday around 5:45 p.m., Frankston police and the Anderson County Sheriff's Office executed a search warrant at the PC Corner Store and Texaco station, at the corner of Highway 175 and Highway 155 in Frankston.

"Recently we've had a break in our investigation and we were able to get some video documented information and get a warrant," says Frankston Chief of Police Darren Goodman.

Wednesday afternoon the convenience store remained closed.

"We're just tickled to death we were able to get at least one drug dealer off the street for at least a while," says Frankston mayor Al Mann.

Mann says authorities seized "a lot" of K2 from the store.

Police say they've been working on making this arrest for more than two years, and that the tips and phone calls from the people of Frankston over that time were a big part of their investigation.

"We've been receiving tips from our citizens about concerns about illegal activities going on at this establishment. It's not easy to get into these places doing these things so it's taken a little bit of time to make that happen, but we've done that," Goodman says.

Mann says the police department sent someone on an undercover mission to buy drugs at the gas station. That person made five successful purchases.

"They were equipped with a tiny little camera that recorded several of the incidents," Mann says.

Mann says one of his top priorities is keeping drugs out of Frankston.

"This has always been a big priority of mine-- drugs-- to try to get them out of Frankston. We can't help what happens in other towns, but we can help what happens here," says Mann.

Mann says with the help of the Anderson County Sheriff's office and the Texas Department of Criminal Justice drug dog, the Frankston Police Department made what they're calling a very successful bust.
