Firefighters battled two house fires late Wednesday night, one in Chesterfield, and the other in Henrico.
No one was hurt in either fire.
Investigators are working to figure out what started the fire in Chesterfield. It happened a little after 11 p.m. in the 12000 block of Second Branch Road, which is not too far from River Road. When Chesterfield firefighters and EMS arrived on the scene, they found a two-car garage on fire.
However, investigators do know what caused a house fire in the 10000 block of Westek Drive in Henrico. It happened around 7:30 p.m. Investigators believe faulty wiring under the home was the cause of the fire.
When fire crews arrived, they found smoke coming from under the home. Their investigation led them to a fire in the crawl space under the home, and the fire made its way into the walls. The home has minor damage.
