UPDATE: Two more victims of I-85 crash identified

BUCKINGHAM, VA (WWBT) -

New information tonight on Tuesday's head-on collision on I-85 that killed five people.

Today, state police identified the last two victims as Rajendra Jailall and Seelal Rampersad, both from New York.

State Police say they were in a car with Davinda Jailall and Krishna Maniram when their car hit a pickup truck that was going the wrong way.

The driver of the pickup, Walter Skinner of Richmond, was also killed.

 


 

Two New Yorkers are the latest victims identified in Tuesday's crash on Interstate 85 in Brunswick County.

Davindra Jailall, 32, was driving a 2011 Toyota Corolla with Krishna Maniram, 51, in the back seat. Both were among the five people killed in the crash during the head-on crash. Police had previously identified the other driver as Walter Edward Skinner. The remaining two victims have yet to be identified.

Skinner was traveling northbound in the southbound lanes of I-85 around 6 a.m. Tuesday when his pickup collided with Jailall's Corolla.

The section of I-85 was closed for five hours. So far, no cause has been released.
