Lee Co.'s Williams named GADA Athletic Director of the Year

LEESBURG, GA (WALB) -

Lee County High School baseball coach and athletic director Rob Williams has been named the Georgia AAAAA Athletic Director of the year by the Georgia Athletic Director's Association.

He was named the Region 1-AAAAA AD of the Year as well.

"It's a very humbling thing to happen," Williams says.

Never the one for spotlight, Williams says the award is a testament to the people around him.

"One person gets the award, but really and truly we have an outstanding coaching staff here," he says. "All the coaches really work well, and take care of their business, which really helps on my end. We have an outstanding administration that really supports us."

Williams has been at LCHS for 29 years. He's served as the athletic director for the last ten.
