Chesterfield Police have arrested a man they say filmed several women without their knowledge. Dwayne Castello, 52, is charged with 25 counts of unauthorized filming of another.
Police say Castello filmed several female family members in the bathroom and in other rooms of their Chesterfield County home.
Investigators say Castello didn't stop there. He allegedly filmed a total of eight women, the others who were family friends, at his home in the 2900 block of Summerhurst Drive over a period of several months.
It is not illegal to have security cameras in your home but NBC12's legal analyst says, it is illegal to position those cameras to videotape someone in a state of undress.
"Not only is it illegal but it is incredibly creepy," said Steve Benjamin. "The criminal justice system takes this very seriously."
Castello is being held without bond and his family has moved out of their home and away from Chesterfield.
Police do not think that there are additional victims other than the eight women identified. None of the victims were under 18 so Castello's charges are misdemeanors. Each carries a sentence up to one year in prison.
