Police investigating drive-by shooting near Richmond City Jail

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) -

A man is clinging to life and police are piecing together two crime scenes after a drive-by shooting in Richmond.

Just after 7:00 p.m., near the Richmond City Jail people in two cars shot at each other, according to sources. 

One man was shot three times, but managed to drive to Fairfield Way, where first responders rushed him to the hospital. 

We don't know much about the victim, but do know one of those bullets hit his arm, and another hit pierced his torso.

    The Mississippi Highway Patrol is looking for a driver who ran away from the scene of a deadly crash in George County. Three children were killed in the crash. Troopers said a green 2003 Kia Optima was heading east on Highway 198, east of Depot Road, shortly before 4 p.m. on Saturday.
