PRINCE WILLIAM, VA (WWBT) -
Three people are dead following a shooting at Marine Corps Base Quantico in Prince William County.
The shooter is among the dead. All three people were staff members at the Officer Candidate School on the base.
The shooting began around 10:30 p.m. Thursday inside Taylor Hall. The base was placed on lockdown by 11 p.m.
Once authorities were able to get inside the barracks, they found the shooter, as well as two other people, dead.
The base lifted the lockdown around 2:30 a.m. Friday.
The names of the shooter and the victims will be released once their family members are notified.
