New details filed in Chesterfield court paint a clearer picture of exactly what happened in a suburban murder-suicide. It happened at a home on Castle Glen Court on Friday.
Search warrants detail what police found inside, including several weapons and ammunition.
Outside the once-home of Claira Morgan-Hester and Walter Hester, not much has changed. Police and fire tape still circles the home. A bucket of flowers sit outside the tape, a small sign of life next to a terrible reminder of death.
The court papers say a firefighter found Claira first. She was on the second floor and had been shot in the head. When firefighters went downstairs, that's where court papers say they found Walter. He also was shot in the head, but he still had a gun in his hand.
Inside, police collected dozens of different gun cartridges, some magazines, three guns and a shotgun. They also found a gas cap on the kitchen floor.
