Police release identity of victim in deadly Richmond shooting

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) -

Richmond police are investigating a deadly shooting in the city's east end.

The call came in just after 6:10 p.m. Monday for random gunfire in the 1800 block of North 28th Street. Police say Dwayne J. Fleming, 27, was found dead inside a home.

"Apparently, the gentleman ran down the block to try and get help. When we responded approximately three minutes later, and we found him, he'd been shot to death," said Richmond Police Capt. Sybil El-Amin.
