STAFFORD, VA (WWBT) -
Virginia State Police are working to learn what caused a Stafford County plane crash that sent two people to the hospital.
Authorities tells us a piper saratoga crashed four miles from the Stafford Airport just after seven Sunday morning.
The pilot, a 63 year old man and his 51 year old passenger, who happens to own the plane were both awake and talking when crews arrived.
They were taken to the hospital, but are expected to be okay.
The FAA is investigating.
