Semi-automatic used to rob student near VCU

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) -

Richmond Police are looking for two suspects who used a semi-automatic handgun to rob a man at gunpoint near VCU.

The suspects approached the man in front of the Rite-Aid on Broad Street around 11:05 p.m. Wednesday. They showed the weapon and the man handed over his wallet. The thieves then ran south on Belvidere toward the Hess Gas Station.

The suspects are both black males. One had a black bandana covering his face, the other was wearing a black t-shirt with ENYCEE in white letters on it.

Richmond and VCU police are concentrating patrols in this area.
