The men who saved a Henrico pilot from dying after his plane crashed are about to get a special honor this week.
You may remember some of these horrific images of the crash that happened nearly two years ago at Richmond International Airport.
Tony Carr was the pilot, and although he suffered significant burns, it's amazing that he survived.
This week, three members from the Henrico Fire Department who saved that pilot will be honored.
The Henrico Citizen reports, these men will receive a special award during the VCU Health System's 5th shining knight gala.
The ceremony is happening this Saturday at the Jefferson Hotel.
