Some Chesterfield neighbors say they have had enough after a community party leads to gun fire and an intense police chase near Matoaca Middle School.
Sean Wallace is now behind bars and facing a long list of charges including shooting or throwing missiles at occupied vehicles. We should note any object thrown at a vehicle is called a missile.
Police say Wallace got into an argument with a man at a party and it all spilled out into the streets.
"Any party is fine," said Sandie Rowe. "But alcohol and guns don't mix."
Rowe is fed up with neighborhood parties that are becoming infamous in her Chesterfield community. Wallace allegedly shot into a victim's car as he took off down Halloway Avenue. It is the same street Sandie's ailing mother calls home.
"She has been here 30 years and never had a fence," said Sandie. "Because of situations like these parties and all has drive us to get a fence for security."
We got our hands on the arrest report. Wallace now faces five different charges including possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Did we mention the victim was also arrested? Police say he led them on a high speed chase.
"Luckily nobody was seriously injured," said Lt. Randy Horowitz. "Luckily no innocent bystander."
Police note the gunfire and chase all took place near Matoaca Middle School.
"And we need to be cautious," said Sandie. "You can't stop what everybody does, but it goes on more than I care to admit."
Sandie is just happy the suspect was arrested.
"They both have been in a lot of trouble with the law," said Lt. Horowitz. "So our victim is no more innocent than our suspect."
The victim is facing charges of eluding officers. We are told more charges could follow.
