Virginia War Memorial hosts K9 veterans day event

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) -

There's a special event happening Wednesday to honor a different type of veteran.

Wednesday is K9 Veterans Day in Virginia as tribute to our military and service dogs.

There will be a special ceremony happening at 10 a.m. at the Virginia War Memorial.

Organizers will unveil the new K9 Veterans Day flag and military working dogs and service dogs are invited to attend.
