Richmond Police have arrested a suspect in connection with a shooting inside a Shockoe Bottom nightclub.
David Batts Jr., 25, is charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, a felony, in connection with a shooting that occurred inside the Canal Club around 1 a.m. on Feb. 18.
No one was injured by the shooting, but Shockoe Bottom leaders say they are fed up and want club managers to put an end to the popular Sunday event or get out.
Detectives still ask anyone with any information about this incident to call Crime Stoppers at 780-1000. Citizens may also text Crime Stoppers at 274637, using the key word "ITip" followed by your tip. Both Crime Stoppers methods are anonymous.
