Credit: Casey HigginsAll major highways in Central Virginia are now clear of snow and ice, according to VDOT.
Secondary roads in the Culpeper District have been plowed and are clear or have only minor patches of snow and slush remaining.
Now, VDOT crews are working with utility companies to clear trees and debris that are tangled with power lines on secondary roads or lying on road shoulders.
VDOT warns that freezing conditions Thursday night will create black ice, especially on bridges, crossovers, ramps and turn lanes.
If you see downed trees or other maintenance issues, call VDOT's Customer Service Center at 1-800-367-ROAD (7623).
