People in Louisa are calling for a School Board member to resign from his position.
Several people were angered when School Board member Allen Jennings served as a character witness during a sentencing hearing for a man convicted of sexual battery of a boy at Jouett Elementary school in Mineral, according to the Richmond Times-Dispatch.
The paper also reports that Jennings just hired a lawyer, after the county treasurer said the school board member owed $56,000 in overdue taxes on 21 of his 22 properties.
