A Richmond police officer recently fired over alleged comments about President Obama, just filed a defamation lawsuit in court this week.
According to a Richmond Times-Dispatch article, this lawsuit claims this was about a police sergeant who had a grudge and then made up claims to their supervisors, and pressured others to get the officer fired.
According to the paper, the lawsuit also blames the Mayor's office for pressuring ex-Police Chief Bryan Norwood to fire the officer, the suit claims that's against department policy.
