Parents accused of caging Gloucester daughter begin their trial

GLOUCESTER, VA (WWBT) - -

The Gloucester County parents accused of locking their 6-year-old daughter in a cage, head to court Tuesday.

This is the case where Shannon and Brian Gore's daughter was found naked in her own feces.

Police say she suffered from bed sores and malnutrition.

The girl will not appear in court for the trial but instead will testify via closed circuit TV.

If convicted, both parents face life in prison.
