Legendary actor Harrison Ford has joined the cast of "Anchorman: The Legend Continues," reports the Hollywood Reporter. Ford would play a veteran news anchor in the Anchorman sequel.
Ford has not played a role in a comedy since 1979's Western comedy "The Frisco Kid." He previously played a curmudgeonly newscaster in the romantic comedy "Morning Glory."
The "Anchorman" sequel is already bigger than its predecessor, with Ford, Kristen Wiig and James Marsden joining original stars Will Ferrell, Steve Carell, Paul Rudd and David Koechner.
This has been a busy 2013 for Ford thus far: In addition to "Anchorman: The Legend Continues," Ford is rumored to reprise the role of Han Solo for "Star Wars: Episode VII." That film is scheduled for release in 2015.
