RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) -
The woman who is running a dog shelter at Michael Vick's former dog-fighting compound in Surry County will go to court Tuesday.
Tamira Thayne's organization, Dogs Deserve Better, bought Michael Vick's property in 2011. The state gave her permission to operate the shelter following a recent state vet inspection, but the shelter had been operating without a permit since June 2011.
Thayne could be asked to step down, if she's convicted Tuesday.
