Plus, it's an area of Richmond notorious for parking pandemonium. We're talking about the Fan, where there are too many cars, and not enough spaces. Beginning today, if you don't have a permit, you could be out of luck. That's good news for people who can't find parking next to their own homes.

Today's the day. At some point before midnight, President Obama is expected to sign the order that will slash 85 billion from the Federal Budget and lead to furloughs and layoffs nationwide. We are tracking the situation as Congressional Leaders are getting ready for a last-minute meeting at the White House.
