HENRICO, VA (WWBT) - Thursday, the Henrico County School Board passed the 2014 budget plan.
It avoids major cuts and layoffs, but doesn't include raises for teachers.
School officials say they closed an 11.3 million dollar budget gap this time.
The board was also scheduled to vote on a calendar year that would have doubled the number of half-days from 3 to 6. This would give teachers more planning time.
However, the board pushed that to next month saying there needs to be more review.
