HOUSTON, Feb. 28, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Ces Guerra has joined Houston's MK Luxury Homes & Condos to specialize in sales and leases of properties in the neighborhoods of Tanglewood, Memorial, inside the Loop, and surrounding suburbs. Guerra is a long-time Houston resident and formerly worked in corporate consumer product and pharmaceutical sales for nearly 20 years.

The Houston Association of REALTORS® (HAR) reports an aggressive pace for home sales in Houston with average and median prices reaching the highest levels for a January last month. The upper-end market is exceptionally hot and sales of houses priced above $500,000 and into the million-plus bracket were up 52 percent over January of 2012, the association reported.

"In addition, townhome and condominium sales increased 20 percent in January over last year. With this type of market activity and a tight inventory, buyers and sellers need to establish a plan of action with a Realtor," advises Guerra. "Taking swift action does not replace the need for a strategic plan whether you're selling or buying a new residential property."
