NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) -

A Nacogdoches Police officer arrested a 27-year-old woman for allegedly driving drunk with her 14-month-old daughter in the car Sunday morning.

Felicia Doster, of Nacogdoches, is still being held in the Nacogdoches County Jail on a state-jail felony charge of driving while intoxicated with a child under the age of 15 in the car. No bond has been set at this time.

According to the police report, the incident occurred between 10:45 and 10:55 a.m. Sunday. The officer observed a woman driving erratically as she pulled into a convenience store in the 3200 block of North Street. A witness said she also hit the curb on her way into the parking lot.

When the officer made contact with the woman, Doster allegedly showed signs of being intoxicated, the report stated. In addition, she did poorly on the field sobriety test the officer gave to her, and she was taken into custody at the scene.

Doster's daughter and her car were released into the custody of the woman's common-law husband.
