LOUISA COUNTY, VA (WWBT) Louisa deputies have charged Louisa Vice Mayor Mary Clarke with assaulting her husband.
The sheriff's office told use that deputies responded to her home several times in the last few months.
On Friday, authorities say Clarke and her 19-year-old grandson, James Clark III, assaulted James Clark Sr., but her husband didn't sustain any injuries.
Vice Mayor Clarke had to sign a protective order prohibiting her from having any violent contact with her husband.
She has been allowed to return home.
Her grandson, however, has been removed from the residence.
