RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) -
VCU Police are alerting students about an assault that happened early Sunday morning near campus.
Around 1:30 Sunday morning police responded to a fight in the 200 block of North Laurel Street. When they arrived no suspects or victims could be found.
About two hours later--a victim reported that he was punched and kicked by two men after they asked him for a cigarette.
No weapons were used in the assault--and the suspects were last seen heading east on Franklin Street.
