BRONX, NY (WWBT) -

Freshman Deion Taylor scored 12 points and freshman Terry Allen had a career-high eleven as Richmond won at Fordham's Rose Hill Gym 72-55 Saturday afternoon.

Taylor made 4-of-7 field goals, including two high-flying dunks and added two blocks. Allen made 3-of-4 field goals and had three assists. Red-shirt freshman Alonzo Nelson-Ododa scored eight points and blocked three shots, moving into eighth on Richmond's single-season list for blocks.

Sophomore Kendall Anthony had eleven points, senior Darien Brothers scored ten and junior Derrick Williams added nine.

Despite having both seniors in first-half foul trouble, the Spider freshmen rose to the occassion, giving Richmond an eight-point halftime lead. The Spiders kept the energy going in the second half, increasing the lead to 22 at 65-43 with 3:38 remaining.

The win was Richmond's sixth-straight over Fordham and improved the Spiders to 4-3 all-time at Rose Hill Gym.

The Spiders improved to 16-11 overall and 6-6 in the Atlantic 10 with four games remaining. Richmond hosts George Washington on Wednesday at 7:00pm at the Robins Center.
