Update: Driver charged after car crashes into the James River

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) -

Richmond Police have charged the driver of a car that ended up in the James River early Saturday morning.

Officers say a man lost control of his car on the Mayo Bridge around 4 a.m. Saturday landing the car in the water.

No one was inside the car when it was pulled from the river. The driver is now charged with reckless driving.
