After years of drawing plans and getting permits, construction is finally starting on a new Marriott hotel and religious freedom center. The project is being built at the corner of 14th and Cary Streets in Shockoe Slip. It's a $30 million endeavor expected to create hundreds of jobs.

Good Neighbor Community Services is looking to hire Qualified Mental Health Professionals.
Good Neighbor Community Services offers an array of counseling services to adults and youth, and provides residential housing for people with disabilities.
I talked with Operations Director Ashley Kemnitz about exactly what they're looking for in candidates. They're looking for counselors with at least a year of clinical experience who will work in-home and on an out-patient basis.
Said Kemnitz, "You really have to be able to communicate with individuals. You have to be able to build a report with the adults and the youth that you're working with. Of course, we'd like you to be very compassionate about what you do, hardworking, and dedicated."
Good Neighbor Community Services hires on a continual basis as they need more counselors, and they have centers across Greater Richmond.
