CHESTERFIELD, VA (WWBT) -

Chesterfield Police are looking for two suspects that robbed an 82-year-old woman Friday.

Police say the robbery happened in the 14300 block of Brandermill Woods Trail around 2:10 p.m. The suspects took the woman's purse and ran off.

"It is the first time Brandermill Woods has ever had anything like that happen and I've been here for 22 years," said director Mira Pallotta.

Pallotta is shocked the suspects attacked an 82 year old woman in broad daylight.

"It is a shame," said Pallotta. "This is a very protected community."

The good news is a kitchen staff person saw the whole thing happen. The 82 year old woman reached in to grab her groceries when all of a sudden someone grabbed her from behind. They slammed her against the door and stole her purse.

Police are looking for two black men, 18-21 years old each. One was 5 feet 10 inches tall with an average build and distinctive sideburns and was wearing a black skull cap and dark clothing. The other was 5 feet 10 inches tall with an average build and was wearing dark clothes and a black ski mask.

"These two guys will get caught," said Graham Peers who is dining services director.

Peers says the suspects attacked with their faces uncovered. Pallotta says she plans to beef up security, and she has a message for the suspects.

"We will press charges," said Pallotta. "We will come for you."

The victim sustained minor injuries. No weapon was displayed during the robbery.
